Range Rules

These rules apply to every member and guest. Members are responsible for their guests and minor children.

  1. Be prepared to produce your current membership card. You will be asked to leave without it.
  2. Members are authorized to have only one guest.
  3. Members are responsible for their guests and minor children.
  4. Members or their guests who violate the range rules will be asked to leave and may face expulsion from the club.
  5. Shooting hours are from 8:00 a.m. to one-half hour after sunset.
  6. No drugs or alcohol are allowed.
  7. No skeet shooting is allowed.
  8. No glass targets. No stumps or logs are to be placed on the range.
  9. No metal targets unless used at an authorized event.
  10. Ground targets are not permitted in front of or on the target supports.
  11. Do not shoot at any part of the target-support structure.
  12. Wear appropriate eye and hearing protection.
  13. Exercise safe gun-handling practices at all times.
  14. Know where others are at all times.
  15. Keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
  16. Keep fingers outside the trigger guard until ready to fire.
  17. Ensure no shots stray outside the backstop area of the range.
  18. During a cease-fire, unload, open the action, remove the magazine, and ground or bench all firearms.
  19. Do not handle any firearm or stand at a firing line where firearms are present while others are downrange.
  20. Be certain the ammunition matches the firearm being used.
  21. Remove debris from your shooting session, use the appropriate trash receptacle, and pick up your own brass.
  22. Close and lock the gate when leaving the range.
